Privacy policy for Findwood

In effect from 4 October 2026.

In short

The game sends none of your data anywhere. There is no account, no login and no server of ours. Your voyage is saved on the phone itself. The only thing that reaches the network is the advertising.

What the game saves

Your progress is kept in the app's own storage on the device: money, boat, equipment, fuel, cargo, contracts, reputation, museum finds, the areas you have discovered, the state of the quay rebuild, the time of day and which of Signe's letters you have read.

It is included in your device's normal backup if you have one enabled. Delete the game and it is gone. We never see it.

What the game does not touch

Advertising

The game shows ads from Google AdMob in two places, both outside play: at the harbour you can choose to watch a rewarded film for a bonus on the load or a free tank, the sea rescue offers one instead of its fee, and a full-screen ad can appear when you cast off — at the earliest on the fifth departure and then rarely. There are no ads out on the lake, in the raising view or on the islands.

Before the first ad is fetched you are asked whether you allow personalised advertising, and iOS additionally asks whether the game may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, ads are still shown, but not personalised.

To show ads, Google may receive:

Nothing from your saved game is shared with Google.

Google's handling is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can change your answer at any time in the harbour, with the hand button next to the balance.

Purchases

The game has nothing to buy. There are no in-app purchases and no payment details of any kind.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.

Your rights

Since we store no data about you, there is nothing to request, correct or delete from us. To remove everything the game has saved locally, delete the app. Questions about advertising data go to Google, who is the data controller for it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated and the change is described in the game's release notes.
